Brazilian Waxing and hair growth

Your hair has three growth cycles. You might notice when you shave, that your hair grows in every couple of days. This is because your hair is on different growth cycles and is not removed from the root. The goal with waxing is to get all of the hair on the same cycle so that it can be waxed all at the same time resulting super smooth skin. If you normally shave, I recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before waxing. I know it is going to be hard to wait, especially since you are used to removing the hair daily but it will be worth it. There are 2 reasons for waiting to wax after shaving: (1) to make sure the hair is long enough for the wax to grab and (2) to let the growth cycles catch up with each other. After waxing the 1st couple of times, you may notice that some of the hair was too short for the wax to grab or that some hairs are growing in faster than others. It does take a couple times of waxing to get all the hairs on the same cycle. But once they all catch up with each other, there should not be any hair (stubble) after waxing. For optimal results, it is recommended to schedule your appointments every 4-6 weeks. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding waxing. www.scottsdalewaxing.com
